Conservation of marine biodiversity and development of a network of AMPCs in the Mediterranean

This workshop was organized within the framework of the “Strategic Partnership for the Large Marine Ecosystems of the Mediterranean” Project in its MedAPN South component relating to the “Tunisia Pilot Site: Creation of the Cap Négro-Cap Serrat Marine and Coastal Protected Area”. It aims to inform executives and technicians working in the fishing sector and those working on the conservation of marine sites on the relationship between fishing and marine protected areas. The aim is to discuss the concept and principles of sustainable fishing and the role of marine protected areas in the management of marine resources. It is also a matter of addressing the interactions between the objectives of fisheries exploitation and those of marine protected areas.
