ATDEPA is a non-profit development association. It was created on September 24, 2011 following the publication of a notice in the Tunisian official journal.

The ATDEPA’s vocation is to improve the sustainable livelihoods of targeted artisanal fishing communities while respecting the ecosystems they exploit, as well as to contribute to improving the positive integration of these communities into the dynamics that directly affect them, in particular fisheries management and coastal zone development.

Its members are from the field of fisheries administration, scientific research and
artisan fishermen.
